GOD’S STORY (DTS)
Are you looking to be discipled to reach the nations for Jesus? There is a massive opportunity here in Europe to disciple the nations, and there is a mission field here on our doorstep in the Midlands of England. Thousands of refugees and migrants, and many of them from unreached people groups, are living here in our inner cities. Will you join us to reach them with the life changing stories of the Bible?
In every continent God is multiplying, not just adding, gatherings of believers in ways that are currently described as “Discipleship Making Movements”. In Mark 4:34, we read that Jesus “always used stories to teach the people.” The God’s Story Discipleship Training School, supported by the Kings Lodge, will train you to share bible stories with refugees in the city of Coventry. It is a fully accredited YWAM University of the Nations Discipleship Training School, focusing on learning key stories in the bible narrative and communicating them orally in order to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Come join us, in Coventry an international city in the Midlands of England with many from largely oral cultures and start telling the stories of the bible to the least the last and the lost and help to start a discipleship making movement in Europe.
This Discipleship Training School will help you grow in knowing God and making Him known. You will have the opportunity to develop a more intimate relationship with Him and be equipped to share the gospel creatively and effectively with the world before you. The school creates space for you to discover who you are in Christ, your passions, and your important role in God’s purposes. God has commissioned us to take the Good News to the nations so that’s what we will do. You will go out into the world with your team to make God known
LECTURE PHASE
The lecture phase will concentrate on learning bible stories, the discipleship principles they teach, and then putting those principles not practice. There will also be opportunities to start retelling those stories to others.
The classroom format is “Look back,” “Look up” and “Look forward”. “Look back” includes fellowship, worship, and friendly accountability. “Look up” involves telling the Story, teaching the Story, retelling the Story, and discussing the Story. “Look forward” is the final phase of discipling through narrative bible storytelling and involves application and creative presentation.
OUTREACH PHASE
This will be an extended period of just over two months, to disciple through story-telling in a missions context. We are praying for a discipleship-making movement in an inner city in the Midlands of England and for that to break out into the nations of the world.
The ends of the earth are on our doorstep. We want “to go”, for the love of Christ and to be a light unto the ends of the earth. Will you go with us?!
