School of Biblical Studies or SBS is an opportunity to study the Bible and understand the character of God throughout the new and old testament. Take nine months to learn about God's word and apply it to our world today.

term one

24 September - 20 December 2025

This term starts off with a three-week intensive seminar to learn the inductive approach to studying the Bible. At the end of the term, you would have gone through most of the New Testament.

term two

10 January - 04 April 2026

You will complete the rest of the New Testament and be tested on your knowledge of the background and structure of each book. Next, you begin the Old Testament with an introduction to its ancient world and different literary genres. You will study Genesis through Song of Solomon.

term three

11 April - 03 July 2026

Beginning with Amos you will experience both the broken heart of God and the promised hope for salvation for his people. At the end of the Prophets, you will have an examination to demonstrate your knowledge of the background and structure of each book. Then, the term is wrapped up by studying the book of Revelation.
